A few weeks ago Noah Powa debuted the song “One Burner” in which he sings about being committed to his one girl.  This week, Noah dropped by to deliver the music video for the song which was shot and edited by the songs producer, LMR Productions.

What you are witnessing in Noah Powa is the evolution of a Selector who is returning to his roots as a singer.  Yes, Noah began his career in music with the choir.  He recorded singles when he was younger, and shared the stage with notable artists such as Bounty Killer before he became a selector.

Making his name as a selector, Noah has performed with the best, and the time has come for the evolution.  “One Burner” is that evolution. 

Produced by LMR Productions from Queen’s, and acknowledging that all men go through the stage of wanting multiple women, Noah has reached a point where he says I only need ‘one burner’ which is a metaphor for only needing one woman!  Ka-Boom!  Sample the lyrics:  “me is a one woman man / mih nah cheat pon mih girl / no matta how we fuss and fight / mih nah cheat pon mih girl / girl coulda look like miss world / me ah one burner ….”

HOTTT New Dancehall ►►► Spragga Benz – Informer

Whether you’ve been in the business one year, or 25 years, Spragga Benz is a name you know and his music you can depend on to move the crowd.  Riddim and Spragga is like macaroni and cheese – you can’t have one without the other. 

The newest chune on the Sell Out riddim comes from our Dancehall General, Spragga.  His chune “Informer” is straight heat – hardcore – lands on the marrow.  It’s an excellent compliment to Cham’s “Sell Out.”  Explaining how police can place a wire tap a phone Mr. Benz DJ’s:  “how yuh tink nuff man get fih tap ah phone / ah informer tell dem when yuh not at home / but chatty mouth can’t step in shatta zone / caw dem get wet up and dem lucky if ah dat alone….”  Ka-Boom!   

If I didn’t know better, I would say this riddim was made for Spragga.  His voice rides this riddim perfectly and will cause you to pull up the chune several times!
