Lover’s Rock singing sensation Stephen Souza launches his 3rd
studio album entitled The Reggae Gentleman in Manhattan, New York on Sunday
March 23rd, 2014 at the Drom lounge located at 85 Avenue A.
Backed by the Skadanks Band, Stephen will perform music from
his new CD which includes a cover of Dennis Brown’s “Silhouette,” as well as
original songs “Sounds Explosion” and “Missing You.” The artists’ style and presentation has been
compared to Beres Hammond whom he counts as one of his role models. “Fans have told me I remind them of Beres,”
said Stephen “and that is the ultimate compliment … that means I’m hitting the
right notes!”
Performing for the past 38 years, Stephen began his career in
the US as the opening act and backing vocalist for the Crown Prince of Reggae,
Dennis Brown. During his time with the
Crown Prince, Stephen learned the art of engaging audiences, and incorporating
them with stage show performances. Stephen
also developed the art of song writing, and discernment for which musical
composition to attach his lyrics. Songs
such as “Sensi Smoker Pt. 2” is an example as is “Treat Her Like a Lady.”
Radio personalities who have previewed Stephen’s album agree
that the artist delivers fantastic music that will easily be classics. Rupie Thompson from Splash Radio in New
Jersey says “Stephen has one of the finest recording voices that is a must see
live. He really is an outstanding
artist.”
Fans and media are invited to join Stephen on Sunday March
23rd at the Drom Lounge in Manhattan, New York. RSVP to requestitagainmusic@gmail.com. The event is hosted by DJ Bandit, turntable
