Horse racing is very popular in the Caribbean and if you’ve
ever been to the race track, you have seen an avid bet-er, and watching him
watch the horses race (especially is favorite horse), you will notice he has a
pace with which he hits the side of his leg with his hand or his brochure. With that visual in mind, you now know how Busy Signal addresses his chune “Professionally!”
Busy Signal |
The riddim gives Busy room to lyrically play with his
audience as it is modeled after a race horse on the track … instinctively, you
want that horse to win, and you want Busy to BEAT up the riddim which he does
when he says: “Personally /
professionally / girls love me unconditionally / the prettiest girl like a
Barbie dolly / nah guh punch har like ah war mih dolly / slim and trim tell dem
basically / weed legalize so mih blaze it daily / mih seh platinum / mih soon
get dih Grammy / man ah gyalis and that is my testimony….”
Now to tell you how Turf Music, the producers of the riddim
play with you, they cut out the base at the 31 second mark, put in
the crescendo effect so that as the riddim gets quiet, then builds back; you
feel a sense of excitement building which is fulfilled when Busy delivers his multiple
punch line lyrics. OMG ... Kaboom!
There is no one who does it like Busy. God knew exactly what he was doing when he created
his life and what a life it is!
P.S. Make sure you
Tweet with the artist when you play his chune or sing his chune
