Around the world, people of the Christian faith are calling
today Good Friday. In the same manner,
people who listen to, play and interact with Reggae, also call today Good
Friday because today is the day Madd
Spider Productions has released the Love
and Devotion Riddim.
Featuring artists with the sweetest voices, Froggy and Taranchyla get the formula for this riddim right as they capture
the essence of the 80’s when vocalists really had to be vocalists to shine on a
riddim.
Named after the song “Love
and Devotion” by Leilani the
riddim is 100% UK Lover’s Rock and is in keeping with the highest standard set
by Sly & Robbie, Peckings (Treasure Isle) and Stingray Records – the riddim
is that, I repeat THAT good.
I spoke to Froggy
MaddSquad about the making of this riddim, and he said it was really
special to him because “we want to give back to the people who have supported
us, and also honor the sweetness of Reggae and Lover’s Rock.” Taranchyla
also adds: “if this doesn’t make the
people dance, I don’t know what will!”
