Salt-n-Peppa "Pushing It" On Tour!

One of the most successful female Pop-Rap groups of all time, Salt-n-Peppa, have reunited for over 20 international dates including the Wireless Festival (London, UK). The Hip Hop legends from Queens and Brooklyn, New York have been making music and entertaining audiences since 1985 and are one of the first all female Rap groups.

Speaking to Spinderella, the acclaimed DJ said “I am excited to be with my sisters; it’s been a long time coming.”  

Over two decades after their groundbreaking entrance into Hip Hop, the trio have won several awards, sold millions of albums and have disbanded the myth that only men can perform Hip Hop.  Spinderella, still sets the standard for “turntablisit” all over the world and is still a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.  The group collectively feels blessed to be in the industry after so many years and still have staying power although many other groups have come and gone.

Salt-n-Peppa will perform several dates as a part of their upcoming tour beginning Memorial Day weekend!

Canada’s most awarded Reggae artist, Exco Levi is in Europe as he readies for his tour which covers 8 cities in a span of 2 weeks, and while on tour, his label, Penthouse Records releases his EP Words of the Wise on the VP Records imprint.

Continuing his fruitful relationship with Silly Walks Discotheque (producers of the songs “Storms of Life,” and “Strive” featuring Kabaka Pyramid which won the 2013 and 2014 Juno award for Best Reggae Recording), Exco and Silly Walks will perform several songs including material not yet released to the public.  About the tour, Exco says “I can’t wait to perform for the people.  They are the reason why I make the music, so performing for them is always special.  Europe here I come!”

In addition to Exco’s tour, the artist actively shared via social media his good news of a new EP called Words of the Wise which will be released to all major digital retail outlets on April 29^th, 2014.  The project was produced by Donovan Germaine and team at Penthouse Records via the VP Records Imprint.

The 7 track EP includes songs previously released “Bleaching Shop,” “Life in the Factory,” “Save the Music,” “Walk Wide a Mi,” “Ready Fih Revolute” and “Can’t Live Without God” as well as an exclusive, “Under My Sheets” which has not been previously released.  Donovan Germaine, CEO of Penthouse Music feels that Exco’s music “has been well received by music lovers who appreciate Reggae and want more from him.  We are pleased to give his fans this album and we are confident that they will not be disappointed!”

Cee Lo Green - No Voice But ... Will Tour!

We spoke to Aaron Couch who has the inside scoop and tells us Cee Lo Green is leaving his spinning judge's chair behind. The producer and recording artist said he will not return to NBC's The Voice, telling Ellen DeGeneres in an interview airing Wednesday, "I'm not coming back, guys."


"I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year," Green said in the interview. "But yeah, I’m going to miss The Voice, too."

Green taped the interview for The Ellen DeGeneres Show alongside Lionel Richie, whom he is joining on an upcoming tour they've dubbed All the Hits All Night Long.

"I just want to … I don’t want to wear out my welcome there," Green continued. "You know what I’m saying? I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven't released an album in four years. I’m almost done with my album." 

In a statement released Wednesday, Green confirmed that he wouldn't be returning as a coach for the seventh season of The Voice, adding that it was an amicable decision he made with NBC and that he's excited to be developing other ideas with the network.

"The Voice has been an immensely enjoyable experience for me and I can only hope I have enriched the lives of our viewers, the contestants, and the many friends I made there," Green said. "I will always be there in spirit. Meanwhile, NBC and I plan to continue our relationship with several new co-ventures including a new music show, while we also explore our ideas for me to create and host a new show of my own. I will not go quietly into the night... expect more great music and entertainment done in my own unique unmistakable and undeniable way. The Voice has given me all the altitude and incentive to do just that. Thanks for the memories and make way for many more!"

NBC's president of alternative and late-night programming Paul Telegdy added in a separate statement: "Cee Lo Green has been an instrumental part of the success of The Voice, and we deeply appreciate all his contributions. We’re looking forward to working with him on other upcoming projects that will tap into both his musical and entertainment expertise."
