Fans Demand Kumar Bent Overseas!

Award winning Reggae artiste Kumar Bent answers the demands of fans and will travel from Jamaica to Mauritius to perform at two festivals in the month of May, and then again in Germany and Belgium in August.

On May 4^th and May 11^th respectively, Kumar delivers his signature voice when he performs at the Noulesa Festival Lamizik in Vacoas, Mauritius and the Get Up Mizik Festival in Port Mathurin, Mauritius.  Both performances will be backed by Kumar’s band, The Habaneros, and both are a reflection of Kumar’s commitment to well being.  In a statement ahead of his travels, the artiste said “I’m eagerly anticipating my upcoming performances and can’t wait to experience the people of Mauritius, Germany and Belgium.  It is important to feed the soul good music and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.”

Prepared to cater to his fans he calls ‘Rebels,’ the Reggae star’s inspirational words in music will come to life when he performs recently released songs “It’s Alright” (VP Records) and “Dem Nuh Real” (Frankie Music – distributed by VPAL).  About the importance of his music and performing live for fans, famed radio jock Papa Richie from Ottawa, Canada said “Kumar is the type of artist who sounds great on the radio and on mixtapes but when he performs live, he connects with his audience in a way that they hold on to every note he sings.  Mauritius, Germany and Belgium are going to love him.”

Highlights of Kumar’s August performances will include time in Germany via Reggae Jam (August 2^nd, 2019) and in Belgium via Reggae Geel (August 3^rd, 2019).  Both festivals the largest in their countries and reflect Kumar’s popularity with fans who are familiar with his catalog.

Music resides in the very bones of this multi-instrumentalist, who spent his formative years as a church drummer before formally studying classical piano and eventually strumming his guitar on stages across the globe.

Nas and Mary J. Blige Co-Headline 2019 Tour

Nas and Mary J. Blige will be hitting the road together for the very first time this summer.

Live Nation announced on Tuesday (April 16) that the pair of New York natives are going to embark on a co-headlining tour, which will run through 22 cities in total across North America.

The “Love Is All We Need” collaborators kick off the trek in West Palm Beach, Fla. on July 11 and then make their way through a range of indoor and outdoor venues with stops in Atlanta, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Boston also in store. 

Tickets for the blockbuster tour will first be available to Citi card members, who will have access to the presale starting on April 17 at noon local time. The rest of the tickets go on sale to the general on Friday (April 19) at 10:00 a.m. local venue time over at Live Nation’s website here:  https://www.livenation.com/artists/41954/mary-j-blige.

Grammy Award nominated reggae artist Etana celebrates her Grammy Award nominated album Reggae Forever with much anticipated dates for a 2019 tour. The Reggae Forever tour kicks off this March 16, 2019 in Kingston, Jamaica and have added new dates and shows in major cities including TX, CO, MN, IL, and CA as well as internationally.
 
Etana is excited to announce this 2019 tour in support of her album Reggae Forever. Reggae Forever received a prestigious Grammy Award nomination in the Best Reggae Album category. Etana is the first female in 21 years to be nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Reggae Album category. Salt-n-Peppa "Pushing It" On Tour!

One of the most successful female Pop-Rap groups of all time, Salt-n-Peppa, have reunited for over 20 international dates including the Wireless Festival (London, UK). The Hip Hop legends from Queens and Brooklyn, New York have been making music and entertaining audiences since 1985 and are one of the first all female Rap groups.

Speaking to Spinderella, the acclaimed DJ said “I am excited to be with my sisters; it’s been a long time coming.”  

Over two decades after their groundbreaking entrance into Hip Hop, the trio have won several awards, sold millions of albums and have disbanded the myth that only men can perform Hip Hop.  Spinderella, still sets the standard for “turntablisit” all over the world and is still a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.  The group collectively feels blessed to be in the industry after so many years and still have staying power although many other groups have come and gone.

Canada’s most awarded Reggae artist, Exco Levi is in Europe as he readies for his tour which covers 8 cities in a span of 2 weeks, and while on tour, his label, Penthouse Records releases his EP Words of the Wise on the VP Records imprint.

Continuing his fruitful relationship with Silly Walks Discotheque (producers of the songs “Storms of Life,” and “Strive” featuring Kabaka Pyramid which won the 2013 and 2014 Juno award for Best Reggae Recording), Exco and Silly Walks will perform several songs including material not yet released to the public.  About the tour, Exco says “I can’t wait to perform for the people.  They are the reason why I make the music, so performing for them is always special.  Europe here I come!”

In addition to Exco’s tour, the artist actively shared via social media his good news of a new EP called Words of the Wise which will be released to all major digital retail outlets on April 29^th, 2014.  The project was produced by Donovan Germaine and team at Penthouse Records via the VP Records Imprint.

The 7 track EP includes songs previously released “Bleaching Shop,” “Life in the Factory,” “Save the Music,” “Walk Wide a Mi,” “Ready Fih Revolute” and “Can’t Live Without God” as well as an exclusive, “Under My Sheets” which has not been previously released.  Donovan Germaine, CEO of Penthouse Music feels that Exco’s music “has been well received by music lovers who appreciate Reggae and want more from him.  We are pleased to give his fans this album and we are confident that they will not be disappointed!”
