HOTTT New Music Video Release ►►► Rickey Teetz – Poverty Life / Working!

Movies almost always have a common theme.  The subject (main character) comes from a particular background, has to overcome obstacle(s) to achieve a certain goal; just when they think all obstacles are removed, one more item pops up which is the biggest one, they overcome, and claim victory.  In between all of that, we also might have a love story.

Rickey Teetz walks us on that journey, but instead of telling the story in 2 hours, he tells it in 3 minutes via his HOTTT new music video, “Poverty Life / Working” which has just been released.

Shot live on location in Jamaica, Rickey walks us through the life of a youth / family who are having a hard time making ends meet.  One of the iconic shots in the video is the close up of one slice of bread which is intended to be dinner.  To showcase how close the story line is to Rickey, he is featured in the video, not as a character, but as the narrator who is telling the story, and watching the story unfold at the same time.  We LOVE this!

So how does this story end?!  Well I can’t say there’s an end because Rickey is with us (whom the video is based on) and will be with us for another hundred years, but, the video goes on to tell us what happens after a few years of hard work.  It’s not a Hollywood ending but it is a Jamaica ending!

Brand New Music ►►► Rickey Teetz – Poverty Life!

Greetings!

Rickey Teetz’s name has gained great momentum in Jamaica, and now he’s ready to start the push outside of Jamaica and it’s all because he’s made a decision to leave “Poverty Life!”

The artist, who originally hails from Montego Bay, Jamaica, decided that better is out there for him and his family.  He didn’t run down fame, he didn’t run down hype, he just worked hard every day and he strived.  His strives led him to the recording studio where, as much as he sings about living the good life, he stays humble by not forgetting where he’s coming from.

Stepping to the microphone stand with confidence, Rickey Teetz sing-jays:  “mih neva born see no silver or bronze lining / me come see mih family face some hard timing / mih doubt if mih mother ever had a bank book / a whole heap ah days nuh know dih pot cook / but fih dih bread mih neva stop look / me know dih heights ah evil coulda turn ah hot foot / walk wid a sling shot / that road me did not took….”  If nothing else, this chune will make you appreciate Ricky’s honesty.

Named the 2012 Upcoming Artist of the year by 3B Entertainment, this is an artist to not only keep your eye on, but to support!
