HOTTT-EST New Dancehall ►►► Jahmiel – Never Give Up!

Greetings!

Jahmiel has got to be one of the realest artists who is not afraid to straight tell it like it is.  Remember the days when people wouldn’t give you a chance for no reason at all?  Remember the days when people would go around you in a blatant show of disrespect?  Do you even remember the days when people wouldn't put you on, not because you don't have talent but because they wanted to be mean?!  Laugh!

His newest chune “Never Give Up” is an anthem for all the people who struggled to reach where they are, and never gave up.  Consider this to be a celebration when the talented artist sings:  “weh dem ah say now / when I ah rise / man ah rise / and no more tear drop from mama eyes / weh dem ah say now / say we ago dead / look deh we still alive / shock when dem realize / weh dem ah say now / man been through the trial and tribulation / but yuh see we stay strong / weh dem ah say now / never give up pon mih journey ….”  KA-BOOM!

Produced by Young Vibez Productions, Jahmiel neatly lets the world know that no matter what the obstacle, we can’t give up.  You will appreciate the fact that he uses real life examples of how he was rejected and he didn’t give up and look at where he is now.  Make it worse, look at where he’s going … to the top!

Absolute HOTTTT New Reggae ►►► Stephen Souza – Sensi Smoker!

Greetings!

Without doubt, this new chune from Stephen Souza, “Sensi Smoker” is a hit chune and is one that you will love so much, you'll keep it on repeat!

Performed to the Sitting and Watching riddim originally produced by Sly & Robbie, Stephen and his team at Request it Again Music added some 2013 tweaks and the result is not 1 but 2 versions of “Sensi Smoker.”  I should add that both versions of the chune mix perfectly with Beres and Shaggy’s “Fight This Feeling” which is also on the same riddim.

Without apology, Stephen Souza sweetly sings “I smoke my Sensi on the mountain / I smoke my Sensi in the valley / way below / I smoke my Sensi everywhere I go / and what a / sweet sensation / I can / feel the vibration coming on strong / coming on strong ….”

Taking us back to yester-year when artists gave us sweet lyrics at the beginning of a chune, Stephen intro’s by saying ‘run come quick and no play nuh funny trick, cause mih say what mih come to give you is some sweet music!’  The other element you’re going to LOVE about the chune is the drop out mix.  When Stephen is singing the sweetest lyrics, the bass line drops out, then after the point is made, the bass line drops back in!

So far, Junior Rodigan in Boston, DJ D Vybez in Tampa, Sir Daddy D in the UK, Frazah C-Lection in Toronto, Mr. Muzik in Baltimore, Keith Rowe in New Jersey, Dilinga Movements in New York, Rico Vibes in Atlanta, Danny Pepperseed in the Netherlands, Sound Armada in Germany and Gusma-T in Italy have given full endorsement to this chune making it spread like wildfire!

Brand New Music ►►► Rickey Teetz – Poverty Life!

Greetings!

Rickey Teetz’s name has gained great momentum in Jamaica, and now he’s ready to start the push outside of Jamaica and it’s all because he’s made a decision to leave “Poverty Life!”

The artist, who originally hails from Montego Bay, Jamaica, decided that better is out there for him and his family.  He didn’t run down fame, he didn’t run down hype, he just worked hard every day and he strived.  His strives led him to the recording studio where, as much as he sings about living the good life, he stays humble by not forgetting where he’s coming from.

Stepping to the microphone stand with confidence, Rickey Teetz sing-jays:  “mih neva born see no silver or bronze lining / me come see mih family face some hard timing / mih doubt if mih mother ever had a bank book / a whole heap ah days nuh know dih pot cook / but fih dih bread mih neva stop look / me know dih heights ah evil coulda turn ah hot foot / walk wid a sling shot / that road me did not took….”  If nothing else, this chune will make you appreciate Ricky’s honesty.

Named the 2012 Upcoming Artist of the year by 3B Entertainment, this is an artist to not only keep your eye on, but to support!

HOTTT New Reggae ►►► King Ali Baba – Herbalist!

Greetings!

Music is an interesting journey in the sense that what is old to you, is new to me and what is old to me is new to you.  King Ali Baba is neither old nor new, neither is his new song “Herbalist.”  This is a chune that is and always will be.  Let me explain!

Herbs, date back to the beginning of time.  We don’t say herbs are old, and we don’t say they’re new; they just are.  Just the same, King Ali Baba gives us timeless lyrics when he DJ’s:  “I ah herbalist / Babylon surround mih ganja field wid all biologist / dem carry it in ah dem lab and ah call it cannabis / but King Selassie I say dem caan touch one ah dis / but answer dis yes / Rasta man / till the soil / while Babylon ah waste things / dem fly gone ah moon / and talk bout say dem ah trace things / leave it alone that’s the way Mother nature make things / dung ah Africa mih neva used to face things ….”  KA-BOOM!

Produced by Mek Money Records (and distributed digitally via Hapilos 21st), this chune is one that will spread like wildfire across the nations.  The command of the drums at the beginning of the chune wake you to attention, and the bass line takes up residence in your heart reminding you that the words you hear are the truth.  As for the skank … Mercy!

HOTTT New Dancehall ►►► Romain Virgo – Jah Jah Over Everything!

Greetings!

With the backative of a double timed drum line and a swift synthesized riff, Romain Virgo wastes no time getting to the message every youth must know:  the system is not designed to make you succeed, but so long as you have Jah, you’ll be fine.

In today’s Dancehall arena, artists and fans keep dwelling on the ‘badmind’ element and the ‘fake friends’ element, but who’s reminding the people about the traps and barriers designed to not allow us to succeed?  Romain Virgo is!  Listen to the artist:  “some deh near / some come from far / waan tek we life / want fih give we scar / waan see we head roll out pon tar / dem nuh want the youths tun superstar / but ah Jah Jah over all tings / all tings / dih enemy will never prevail….”  KA-BOOM … and you need to hear the rest of the lyrics!

Without apology, Romain Virgo gives it to us straight; they don’t want us to turn Superstar.  If an award could be given for powerful lyrics in a chune, this would be the leading candidate.  For those of you who don’t play Dancehall, this chune is your exception to that rule!  I can’t say it enough … don’t sleep, pause or blink on this chune and please don’t say I didn’t tell you!

HOTTT New Island Pop Soul ►►► Tarrus Riley – To the Limit!

Greetings!

Tarrus Riley takes Island Pop Soul to new limits with his brand new chune “To the Limit” and he’s taking fans along with him for the ride!

Working with producers Juke Boxx Productions and Jam House Records, Tarrus performs on a riddim that is not quite Reggae, and is not quite Dancehall, but can only be called Island Pop Soul.  The artist tells us about a lady who is waiting with one command:  “listen woman I don’t drive too fast / buckle up girl / and now just relax / yes you know I know this road / take you on a journey with eyes closed / and she said / hurry up / push it too the limit….”  Ka-Boom!

Now hear where the juice gets sweet!  When you the 808 and the bass line drops, combined with synthesizer and a hint of an organ and we have musical murdah.  Don’t let the piano in the first 8 bars fool you!  This is a hit chune especially to be heard in a mix.  Imagine this song mixed with chunes with a disco-ish kind of vibe?!  Musical Murdah!

Roots Reggae Focus ►►► Kush I Krown – No Wata!

When it comes to Roots Reggae, women hold a special place on the mantle as they are few, but, the ones who do perform in this genre are power-houses and today’s feature, Kush I Krown is just that … a power-house!  “No Wata” is her debut single to the network and is a chune designed to ‘bun down’ those and that which need to experience the fire.

Produced by Sly & Robbie for Thriller Music, Kush steps up to the microphone stand, boldly and confidently as she sing-jays “I don’t want be part of the system / where Babylon they kidnapping and raping the children / and they don’t care about the fools that go in their system / or lie about Santa Clause and Christmas gift to give them ….”  Mercy!

What makes Kush so powerful is her warrior spirit and her tenacity when delivering her lyrics.  You want to hear the chant she puts down at the beginning of the chune … Ka-Boom!

HOTTT New Dancehall ►►► Tracey Night – Talk The Tings Dem!

Greetings!

One of the HOTTEST Dancehall artists you’ll meet is the sexy siren Tracey Night!  This Dancehall Diva is confident and sure, especially when she’s in the recording booth.

Her hit chune “Talk The Tings Dem” is just one example of Tracey’s peppery writing style, and is also an extension of her production talent as she co-produced this chune with Vexxxx Bad Records.  Performed to a well crafted hardcore riddim, Tracey DJ’s:  dem ah talk bout dem pum pum tun up and it tun dung / bout yuh man dung ah yard it ah shell dung / nuh call nuh name / mih neva say ah Winsome / true me call now ah which gyal ah run come / dem ah gwaan like dem hot ah Instagram / and need fih guh find ah plate ah food fih nyam….”  Like I said … Peppa!

Now before lyrics are taken out of context, the line where Tracey talks about such and such tun up and it’s tun down; that lyric is NOT taking aim at Miss O a.k.a. Cham’s other half.  Instead, Tracy is taking aim at certain females who lay claim to O’s famous lyrics but are not ‘turned up!’
