HOTTT! New! Crossover Reggae to R&B ►►► Raging Fyah – First Love!

Greetings!

If you are a lover of music who appreciates mixed formats such as R&B, Jazz and Reggae, then this brand new chune from Raging Fyah will not only make you happy, it will make you VERY happy!

Performing since 2006, the band Raging Fyah has come to be known as one of the best for vocals and song composition, especially the recent hit “World Crisis” which was recorded in 2010.  That chune established the group as being unafraid to make social commentary on the state of the world; that was 2010.  Today in 2013, the band releases the love song “First Love” which marks another hit record for the band.

Using a smooth groove that sounds R&B, Raging Fyah sings:  “I’ve been there before, I’ve seen many doors / close and now / it’s like I walked out of heaven / Jah knows how I’m feeling / you didn’t want me to go now / the tears slowly flowed / and now that I’m searching / It’s you that I’m seeking / I have to find my way / back to my first Love….”  Musical Murdah!

So beautiful is this chune, you can easily mix this with Anita Baker or The Commodores, or even Robert Glasper if you’re in the Jazz lane.  This is also a GREAT chune to add to your Quiet Storm style mixed CD for Lover’s.  Showing musical maturity and dexterity, Raging Fyah knocks this song out the park!

Broadcasting in amplified sound, catch Raging Fyah and the chune “First Love” at the link below.  You can also connect with team Raging Fyah on Twitter @RagingFyah | www.Facebook.com/RagingFyah | @L3Magazine!

Fast Fact:  So good is the riddim for “World Crisis,” Richie Spice performed on it and made the song “Black Woman.”  He included the chune on his album Book of Job!

Ira Losco “ME LUV U LONG TIME!”

Exclusive today in Natasha's Music Box is info on the latest single from Ira Losco called "Me Luv U Long Time!"  Hailing from the UK, we were introduced to Ira from our friends at Jagged House and Alam Records.  Thanks guys!

Ira Losco, the stunning Pop artist, has just released the video, accompanying the third single "Me Luv u Long Time" from her latest album "The Fire." A favorite amongst her fans, the song has already hit the number 1 spot on the local radio waves and PRS charts.

The video which was directed and produced by 'The Bigger Picture” was shot in two days. It depicts Ira Losco alongside an older version of herself, where they’re both dressed in the same attire, possibly suggesting that they are the same person. This is complimented with another scene where she finds herself in a burlesque-styled banquet, surrounded by guests who are acting over friendly. One particular scene, which is very artistic, is where the director plays with the use of light vs. shadow as well as whites vs. blacks, reminiscent of the underlying two tone Ska feel of the song. This is mostly evident in the dub step breakdown part of the song.

'Me Luv U Long Time' is the 3rd music video for Ira Losco from her latest album, which has maintained the no.1 spot for 11 consecutive weeks on I tunes Malta followed by Adele and Coldplay.
With already two previous singles  “ What I’d Give” and “ The Person I Am” topping the radio charts and the latest single “ Me Luv U Long Time “ maintaining a no.1 spot on radios for the 2nd consecutive week, The Fire” is undoubtedly turning out to be her best album to date.

“Writing this album was like a release. There was so much I wanted to say and experiment with. I had no inhibitions and I wanted to bare my soul without setting any parameters. Many a time artists find them selves constrained through a genre because their music is pigeon holed. ” Said Ira Losco

Performing in 15 different countries around the world, with over 20 music awards under her belt, remembered mostly for her outstanding performance at The Isle of MTV and a close win with her 2nd placing in Eurovision, Ira Losco has been Malta’s leading female artist for the last decade.

Her latest album “ The Fire” can be purchased from all digital portals around the world. Fans are asked to visit Ira Losco’s popular You Tube channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/IraLosco - and face book fan page – https://www.facebook.com/iraloscofanpage where they can find more info about the artist and current news.

VETERAN REGGAE SINGER LLOYD BROWN RELEASES FIRST SINGLE FROM ALBUM ROOTICAL

Zion High Productions, a premiere US-based conscious roots reggae imprint, reaches across the ocean for a genuinely Rootical album release from the veteran Reggae vocalist, Lloyd Brown. ‘What You Sow’, the album’s first single, elaborates on the dub one drop while Brown cleverly emphasizes the dub delay with lyrics just a step behind the beat. This, Brown's 17th album to hit the world stage, is a defining moment in his storied career over three decades. Drawing directly from UK lovers reggae, the timelessly popular Virgin Islands roots and foundation Jamaican dub rockers vibes, Rootical can rightly claim legitimate roots in each of these genres. Rootical will be released October 1st on iTunes, October 8th on CD and all digital vendors.

Backed by the Zion I Kings production team (Laurent ‘Tippy’ Alfred, Andrew ‘Moon’ Bain and Jah David), each of the 13 tracks are rooted in ZHP’s signature recording, mixing and mastering values as heard on critically acclaimed projects earlier this year from Cornel Campbell and General Jah Mikey. While the root of the album is conscious reggae, Lloyd Brown finds fertile ground within a world of music to nurture an organic and dynamic listening experience. Rootical is distributed by A-Train Entertainment.

Lawless and HOTTT in the Streetz ►►► Cham ft. O – Bend Down!

Greetings!

There are no labels you can place on Cham, or, O, to describe the heat they continue to bring to the streets of Kingston, Toronto, New York, London or Hamburg.  They have created a vibration that transcends ‘Bonnie and Clyde,’ ‘Beyonce and Jay-Z,’ ‘Cher and Sonny,’ or even Jada and Will.’  Cham and O are touching the Michelle and Barack levels and their newest chune “Bend Down” makes that point!

Produced by Coppershaun Music and Lawless Music, Cham and O rip this Dancehall track that is infused with Electronic and Pop effects.  Moving all party goers on the dance floor, Cham begins:  “10 gran fih dih hot sexy gyal dem / weh ah wine and ah madd off dih man dem / true dem rude government want fih ban dem / oh wah joy / so big up dih sound man dem / kill dih bass mek dem wine to dih tweeta / caw mih waan see some hot Senorita / get mad in the miggle ah dih street yah / so any time yuh hear dah sick beat yah ….”  But wait!

O joins Cham with instructions for the ladies, and tells them to do this: “bend down like ah chair yuh siddung pon / make it bounce like a bed you ah bump on / dem ah wondah where dem move yah come from / wine pon dih floor like a man you ah wine pon….”  Kaboom!

Musically, maximum respect is due to this tag team production who push the envelope of how Dancehall is consumed by fans.  When they first started, Jamaica and the Caribbean was home base; with this chune and others like it, the world is home base as all Electronica and Pop fans will LOVE the vibe, and will appreciate the Dancehall seasoning.

If you are not playing this chune, it can only be because you don’t play Dancehall.  If you do play Dancehall and are not playing this chune, I don’t mean to be rude when I say … you’ve missed the boat!

Broadcasting in amplified sound, catch Cham featuring O and the chune “Bend Down” produced by Coppershaun and Lawless music at the YouTube link below.

HOTTT New Rap ►►► French Montana – Julius Caesar + Monsters of Rap!

Greetings!

To appreciate, and I mean really appreciate the prowess of French Montana’s latest chune “Julius Caesar,” we first have to understand who the subject is!

Julius Caesar was a Roman General, Statesman and Consul who ruled the Roman Empire, and lived from 100 BC to 44 BC.  He was great with military might and he was an excellent political strategist.  Julius lived a life of having the best linens and silks, the best food and the best entertainment, and was known for hosting Gladiator exhibitions in which men had to fight for their lives against other men and sometimes animals.  When it came to the pleasure of Julius, no expense was spared.  When French Montana performs his chune “Julius Caesar,” he’s speaking of the historic great in context of how he would be rolling in 2013!

Breaking down the verse, French says “smoking on that grand daddy like it’s leak / then took 100 cars / Julius Caesar / shorty holds it down / she’s a keeper / on my neck / a hundred thousand / Julius Caesar / came up off the block trying to make a dollar / then I bought the drop / gave the b&^%$ a dollar / dirty money all my n&%%$# sling that powder / full equipped / my wheels got my game locked….”  Musically, French’s flow on this dirty south beat is what you’d expect.

French will be performing and rolling out his chariots on Thursday October 31st as a part of the Monsters of Rap show taking place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.  Not only is French rolling but Jadakiss, Juelz Santana, DJ Enuff, DJ Young Chow and he HOT 97 crew will be in full effect.  This is a show not to miss!

Broadcasting in amplified sound, catch French and his latest chune at the links below, and make sure you check out www.monstersofrap.com for more info on the show!  You can also hail French on Twitter >>> @FrenchMonTanA

HOTTT New Music ►►► Sean Kingston – Smoke Signals!

Greetings!

Tomorrow marks a special day for Sean Kingston as tomorrow is the day he takes us ‘Back 2 Life,’ as in, tomorrow is the day the artist releases his album ‘Back 2 Life!’

Sean’s 3rd studio album is set to be a smash as it features appearances from Chris Brown (“Beat It”), Busta Rhymes (“This is How We Survive”) and 2 Chainz (“Shotta Luv”) just to name a few artists.  Production wise, Nic Nac, JR Rotem and RedOne are just three of the producers (Sean also produced a few tracks on this album), and one of the chunes that fans are going to LOVE is “Smoke Signals” which was produced by RedOne.

The artist (who is fresh like mountain dew), has another hit record on his hands with the single “Smoke Signals!”  Taking the religious sacrament of Rastafarians worldwide to the dance floor, Sean refers to sensiminia to ‘la la la’ and combines its sensation with that of a little ‘juice’ making for the perfect feel good combination.

The artist sings:  “when the sun goes down / we get hot on the floor / when we light it up / all you see is the smoke / smoke signals in the sky / when we burn that la la la la la / this is going down tonight / Malibu and juice in my hand / I got the perfect view right now / dem girls be looking my way ….”

Imagine those lyrics on an electronic based beat and driving 808 that pushes the song forward.  Yes, this chune is custom designed to have every ‘body’ on the dance floor moving, not to mention, it’s a nice addition to a mixtape!

Tomorrow (September 10th, 2013), Sean’s album ‘Back 2 Life’ arrives in stores and all leading digital retail outlets so please encourage your listeners to purchase the album.

Broadcasting in amplified sound, check the YouTube link below for the latest chune from Sean Kingston “Smoke Signals” at the links below and make sure you hail him on Twitter to let him know what you think of the chune >>> @seankingston!

HOTTT New Mixtape Release ►►► Kardi Tivali – Fresh & Clean Out!

Greetings!

Last week I talked to you about the hottest and latest release from Kardi Tivali called “Fresh & Clean Out,” and so far mixed taped DJ’s and mixed format DJ’s are saying the chune is HOTTT!  95.3 NOYZ FM in New York and 95.3 DVIB in Philadelphia were the first stations in the Tri-State area to break the chune, and Kardi got the biggest forwards.  One caller called in to say they didn’t know that Jamaican N&%%@$ could rap like that!  Kaboom!

Feeding existing fans and new fans with more greatness, Kardi Tivali has just released his mixtape called “Fresh & Clean Out,” and I’m telling you this will change your view on how you judge talent!  Giving fans everything from hardcore Dancehall (“Dark and Stubborn”), to Lover’s Rock (“Let Me Love You”), to Ragga-Soca (“Carnival”), Kardi makes it known that he is versatile and worthy of the international fraternity’s backing.

What I especially LOVE about the mixed tape is the fact that Kardi even puts his twist on a disco infused chune “Shall Eat Bread” that can easily transition from throwback Marvin Gaye (“Got To Give it Up”) or modern day Robin Thicke (“Blurred Lines”).  Kaboom times 2!

You will appreciate the fact that the mixtape is not ‘mixed’ and is loaded as individual tracks, so you can save the songs that work for you.  Kardi says to you directly “don’t fail to take the time out to listen to some real Jamaican Badman music!  State of the art lyrics, patterns and styles from the #ShottaSchoolingRoadRulingDJ!”

Broadcasting (((LOUD))) and in amplified sound, catch Kardi Tivali and his new mixtape called Fresh & Clean Out at the links below which is 14 songs / 43 minutes.  Special shout to Tremor Maddanize Music!

HOTTT Hew Hip Hop ►►► Busta Rhymes ft. Bob Marley – Chris Lighty….

Greetings!

There is a natural mystic flowing through the air, and if you listen carefully you will hear the voice of Busta Rhymes as he laments over the passing of his good friend Chris Lighty.

Chris was one of the most respected music industry executives who founded Violator Records which was also a management company as well as marketing company representing Hip Hop and Urban culture.  Chris was instrumental in directing the careers of several heavyweights including P. Diddy, and was instrumental in the way in which the world viewed and ultimately respected the work of the Urban art form.  He is the reason why entities such as Mountain Dew, Vitamin Water and more embrace the urban market.  Chris’s life ended too soon.

One of the people whom Chris touched deeply is Busta Rhymes.  So moved by his passing, Busta took to the studio and called on the spirit of a legend, Bob Marley, and came up with the moving tribute called “Chris Lighty.”

Using Bob’s song “Natural Mystic” as the backdrop, Busta raps:  “The moment of truths arrival / finding the proof in Bibles / Torahs / Qur’an’s etc / distribute the jewel through virals / quenching they thirst to see you / knowing they hurt and need you / sharing my pain through these words / in hopes to connect with people / providing space where there’s peace of mind while we conquer evil / visit a place where you see the sign and we can spark the cerebral / sick with the truth / when I’m in the booth like I caught the measles ….”

Though we were not there while the recording was made, Busta’s wish of hoping to connect with people is realized as the world takes to this record and puts a celly in the air in honor of Chris whose life ended a year ago….

HOTTT-EST New Reggae ►►► Kaisha Lee – Rise Above It {Positive Journey Productions}!

Greetings!

With the pulse of the bass guitar giving us a warning at the beginning of the chune, we know that Kaisha Lee is about to do something outstanding with the Positive Journey Riddim, and that is exactly what she does.  She is in sync musically and lyrically which is what makes her newest chune “Rise Above It” absolutely outstanding!

For all Reggae traditionalists, I have to tell you that this is real Reggae; this is Roots Reggae where you feel like you’re eating some Yam and banana and sweet potato seasoned with onion and garlic and thyme, and those are just the very light basics!  Singing with brilliance in her voice, and an unwavering confidence, Kaisha Lee tells her audience “you say / you’re a man / a Christian / well he say / he’s a King / a Rastaman / she say / she’s in sin / don’t need within / but when you rock it and you lock it in the groove / what do these titles do / working on the pay / ask them where’s the raise / just for minimum wage / they said no / went home and prayed / you’re child hungry today / take someone else’s save….”  Mercy!

If you’re aim is to bun Babylon and all workers of unfairness, this chune is for you to the point that, you will want to see Kaisha perform this live.  The song is that serious and that good.

Musically, DahJah, the producer, adds elements of voice-overs from great leaders past saying ‘yes we can’ which is echoed by the voices of people in a crowd saying ‘yes we can!’  The producers attention to the detail of the bass line reminds me of the bass line from Bob Marley’s chune “Sun is Shining.”  The two do not sound the same, but they both share the same seriousness.  Kaboom!

Broadcasting (((LOUD))) and ready to be performed on all stages around the world is Kaisha Lee and the chune “Rise Above It” produced by DahJah of Positive Journey Productions at the links below!
