When Chatta Takes the Mic, Clear Off Dutty Heart!

She has been named Best Female Dancehall Artist on numerous occasions, her music has been a mainstay on radio since the release of her first album Speed of Consciousness in 2004, and she is on one if the few females who know the art of ‘chatting’ on the microphone.  I’m talking about the one and only Chatta from Toronto, Canada.

Stepping on to the international stage, Chatta makes her debut to this international network of DJs and music ambassadors with her single “Clear Off Dutty Heart.”  Produced by Good Good Productions (Written by Chatta for Chatta Ragga National Productions), this chune is a must play in every Dancehall segment alongside Beenie Man, Mavado, Konshens and the others on the riddim.

The artist Sing-jays:  “dem nah reach nowhere / dem nah reach nowhere / till dem badmind clear / dem badmind clear / roun a heathen / roun a she-then / woulda sick yuh friendship inna quicksand / dem ah enemy / no we nuh heed dem / dem ah waste time fih me pree dem….”  Kaboom!

If you’re at a live event, listening to the radio or looking for a new mixtape, make sure this chune is included so you can sing the punchline ‘dem nah reach nowhere’ as Chatta speaks for the masses who know that dutty badmind can never prosper.

There is no doubt that this Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend will be one of the most musically memorable moments of the decade in the New York Tri-State area!

On Saturday, November 28, 2015, Caribbean entertainment specialists Irish and Chin, in conjunction with Irie Jam Radio, will present David “Ram Jam” Rodigan and Barrington “Barry G” Gordon’s 30thAnniversary at the plush Resorts World Casino in Queens, New York.  Sponsored by Western Union, the event commemorates the 30thAnniversary of the legendary David Rodigan and Barry G’s famed on-air sound clashes.

Two of the best to ever do it will deliver an unforgettable evening of divine Reggae music, fun and slice of an unprecedented era in Jamaican music and culture. As U.S. appearances from David Rodigan and Barry G are rare, there is overwhelming momentum for the 30th Anniversary and endorsement from the overall Caribbean market. Moreover, it’s been nearly 4 years since David Rodigan last performed in the U.S. and just as long for Barry G.

Both masters of their craft, the pioneering DJs brought sound clash to radio via a series of historical on-air clashes in 1985. Prior to this, sound clash, a cornerstone of Jamaican music and culture, was reserved for lawns and venues. The two wowed scores of listeners and captivated the island with their on-air sparring, making history all-the-while. The clashes were a phenomenon, officially locking down Rodigan’s Jamaican fan base. Technically, David Rodigan is one of the first “non-Jamaican” selectors to be whole-heartedly embraced by Reggae music fans. At the time of the clashes, David Rodigan was a well-respected radio personality on UK’s Capitol Radio, while the uber-talented Barry G was on Jamaica’s famed JBC Radio.

“Jamaica has a rich music culture with sound clash as it’s mainstay,” says Garfield “Chin” Bourne of Irish and Chin. “As a promoter deeply vested in sound clash, I couldn’t think of a greater way to pay tribute to this phenomenon, while celebrating icons David Rodigan and Barry G, who have had an immeasurable impact and influence on the culture.”

“We will ensure that attendees have a night they will never forget, as they take a trip down memory lane with entertainment from legends,” adds Garfield “Chin” Bourne.

Adding to the already buzzing combo of the David Rodigan and Barry G reunion, is music from top Stone Love selector Rory. Without question, Rory will capitalize on his well channeled years of experience and music knowledge to entertain the massive crowd. Ninja of Mighty Crown will bring fans from the past to the present with an impressive array of selections. The highly anticipated night will be musically balanced, offering all in attendance a night to remember.

The Music Fraternity Welcomes Mr. Cooper The Smooth Ruler!

The Music Fraternity has welcomed Canada’s Mr. Cooper thanks to the release of his Gregory Isaacs cover “All I Have is Love” along with his original “My God is Real.”

With a voice as smooth as fine wine that sounds just like Reggae’s beloved Cool Ruler Gregory Isaacs, Mr. Cooper has forged a niche in music that has made him both popular and in demand in Canada and across the Caribbean.  Performing from the premise that music is the essence of emotions, Mr. Cooper is known for keeping fans in the emotional love zone which comes through in the release of his two new singles “All I Have is Love” and “My God is Real.”

Certified Fire: Gentleman and Shaggy Say “Warn Dem!”

Every once in a while we get hit with a song that is certified fire.  The song is so fire-istic that even thinking about playing the song means turning off the smoke detectors in the house because you know the chune is going to catch a fire!
Gentleman & Shaggy Performing "Warn Dem" at MTV

The chune I'm talking about is from Gentleman and Shaggy called "Warn Dem!"

Taken from Gentleman’s album MTV Unplugged on the VP Records label, the chune “Warn Dem” featuring Shaggy is composed to be an anthem, with Gentleman going hard in the paint with these lyrics:  “We tell the youths dem to be the first and never come last / get your life in order before you start floss / don’t be the employee when you can be the boss / memba grandma say you fih stick to the task / if you nuh know where you’re going then you might get lost / so many rivers which one you have to cross / you better think twice don’t you move too fast….”

K-A-B-O-O-M!

Looking at the lyrics in this message, you may not be too impressed, but add the larger than life synthesized horn section, ringing alarm and roll of the African drum and I’m telling you, you will pull up this chune so many times, your entire radio show will be in honor of this warning!

Catch the chunes at the YouTube link below, and please, whatever you do, don’t sleep, pause, hesitate or even blink on this.  Add it to your playlist today and keep it on repeat.  This chune is a must!

Make sure you Tweet Gentleman and Shaggy >>> @gentlemanmusic | @DiRealShaggy

UK Singing Sensation Smood Face Takes Center Stage Around the World!

Smood Face
How do you introduce an artist whose voice is so smooth, you slip by just listening to him perform?!  I suppose the best thing for me to do is just jump in and start my ramble by saying friend, allow me to introduce you to UK sensation SmoodFace.

Performing in the genre of Pop Reggae Dancehall, SmoodFace has a silkiness to his voice that has the ladies weak.  His lead single being promoted today is, “That’s What I Like” which is so filled with musical swagger, it will become an anthem.  The artist sings:  “living life in the fast lane / fly first class pop champagne / the whole world screaming my damn name / yeah / that’s what I like / drop the top girl let your hair loose / futuristic car / space cruise / mih bredda just make a mill that’s great news / yeah / that’s what I like….”

Produced by Glendevon Records, the riddim was custom built for SmoodFace which is part acoustic guitar paired with finger pop, synthesizer and a piano’s natural chord progression.  I’m telling you, this is a hit chune, and if you’re not playing it, it could be because you are hearing impaired (I say that with all due respect), or because hit music is not welcomed on your playlist (I say that with all due respect too)!

Ready for your listening ear at the link below is new music from UK singing sensation SmoodFace called “That’s What I Like.”  Big up Froggy MaddSquad from MaddSquad Sound for discovering this great talent!

Europe – UK – Africa – World Wide: Artist Introduction to Humility!

Humility
I know you hear a lot of new music from artists everyday who want you to support them by playing their music via YouTube or your playlist, and really that’s a compliment to you and your taste!

Performing artist Humility, managed by Marlon of City Rock Entertainment, is an artist I want you to take a look at – a serious look.

Taking his voice and the art of making good music seriously, Humility purposely makes music that is uplifting; he shares the social issue at hand, and sings about a solution to the issue that we face.  Because of this, fans are growing on the Humility movement, and I want you to grow on this movement too!

As an introduction, Humility and Marlon passed by to deliver their single “Dried Up” which is a song about a man whose love for his woman has dried up.  The artist sings:  “mih think ah likkle / mih drink ah likkle / nah try fix the impossible / and fih ah reason everything happen too / me have dem broken wings yah fih you / cause you’re the fallen angel / yuh nah guh get nuh more water from the same well / I won’t get trapped / by yuh same spell / cause this love is dried up ….”  K-A-B-O-O-M!

There are a growing number of men who have men hurt by women, and Humility is humble enough to share that story in the chune “Dried Up.”

Musically you will appreciate the crossover appeal.  Also, you can deal directly with the artist and management with your feedback via email:  umility@gmail.com | cityrockentertainment@gmail.com.

Busy Signal Shines at 2020 Gala With Star and Community Support!

Multi Genre Superstar Busy Signal was all smiles and shining with the success of the 2020 Gala held at the Grand Bahia Principe in Jamaica!

Busy Signal Addressing Audience at Gala
Raising money for the Busy 2020 Helping Hands Foundation, a foundation dedicated to reaching children and young people to tackle issues such as violence, poverty and lack of health care access, Busy Signal brought together entertainers as well as community stakeholders who collectively agreed that together, they can make a difference.

Performances by Christopher Martin, DMajor, Exco Levi, and Ikaya demonstrated the will of younger generation artists to make a difference in the lives of the youth.  This project will not only benefit people from St. Ann’s Bay, but the entire Parish of St. Ann and neighboring Parishes (Trelawny and St. Mary) as citizens from neighboring Parishes visit the St. Ann’s Hospital as well.

Speaking to media, Busy said “it is important that the youth and the community know and understand that yes we are doing well in our careers, but we haven’t forgotten where we come from, and we are determined to give back to our community … to make it a better place for those coming up after us.”  Echoing Busy’s sentiment is Ikaya who added “some of the kids from this community are going to be doctors in the future.  A small gesture from us today will go a long way tomorrow!”

Launched in April, 2015, the Busy 2020 Helping Hands Foundation has worked with and donated much needed medical equipment to the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital in an effort to make medical access readily available for people in that area of Jamaica.

Donors outside of Jamaica who wish to make a contribution can do so via the website http://www.busy2020helpinghands.com/

Shanty Town Riddim Returns with 2 Heavy Chunes from Suga Roy ft. Busy Signal and Dasia!

If you tune in to Irie FM in Jamaica, you’ve probably heard two new songs added to rotation that fans are skanking and rocking to!  Yes friend, Irie FM is making Jamaica extra Irie playing the chunes “Shanty Town” by Suga Roy and The Fireball Crew featuring Busy Signal, and “Cheating” by Dasia (pronounced Day-See-Yah)!

Both chunes are on the 2015 version of the Shanty Town riddim produced by Fireball Records, and both would make the original producer of the riddim, Leslie Kong - 1966, and performers on the Riddim, Desmond Dekker and The Aces, very proud.

The mastery you expect from seasoned veteran Suga Roy is there, as well as the slick lyrical flow from Busy.  A voice you may remember is Zareb who makes an appearance as a part of the Fireball Crew (Conrad Crystal is also a member), and Dasia, a new voice to many, is one that will not be forgotten.

Here is a sample of some lyrics from the chune “Cheating” which I know you and your audience will enjoy:  “I never thought I could feel another like this / I know it’s cheating but I like the feeling / emotions running down my spine /  I reminisce / on the days it was just between us…!”

Now friends, this is music, so until you hear the chune, and catch the drift, don’t judge Dasia, or me promoting this song.  When you hear it, you will smile and say “Natasha was right!”

It’s time to lively up your playlist by adding these two new Shanty Town Riddim additions to your rotation.  Don’t say I didn’t tell you!

Froggy MaddSquad Danced Ah Yard – Time to Dance Abroad … Again!

He started as a selector on the Pieces Sound System from Montego Bay, and eventually branched off to form his own Sound:  MaddSquad.

Froggy has a unique relationship with music that I personally call the triangle.  One part is the artist, the second is the audience and the third is the bridge that connects the two.  One can’t function without the other, and Froggy performs the train dance he goes to.  The results are always the same:  he F@&$* up the dance.

On his recent UK tour, he gave the people (radio listeners and live audience) a piece of juggling they won’t soon forget.  Speaking to Mix Master J at Mystic Radio and Seani B at BBC 1Xtra, Froggy maintained that he does what he does for the Love of music and seeing people happy.  Amen!

Friday March 18th, 2016 to Sunday April 3rd, 2016 Froggy MaddSquad will be in Europe for a promotional tour.  Key in on the ‘key’ word … promotional!  Yes friends our musical General will be in Europe for 2.5 weeks (home base will be Germany) and would love to come to your venue to play / perform / par!

Connect with him via email maddsquadent@gmail.com if you have an evening / event you’d like him to come to.  You can reach Froggy via Whats App:  407-924-6852.  If by chance you can’t reach him, call 647-677-2507 (not a Whats App number) or hit reply to this email; friends in Europe, will not be disappointed.  Here’s a flashback to yester-year (2012) when Froggy put Montreal in a state of Reggae and Dancehall chaos at the 9th annual Montreal International Reggae Festival!

Sound System Special: Beenie Man – Anyway!

And just like that, Beenie Man drops a must have for every Man and Woman who plays on a Sound System … the chune called “Anyways!”

Beenie Man
Produced by the Legend Maurice Johnson aka Black Scorpio who is one of the original Sound Men from 1968, Beenie’s performance is on a remake of the Lazy Body riddim.  This version is loaded with original vibes from yester-year, and Beenie drops some lyrics that, if reconstructed for Sound Clash, Sound Men / Women will set themselves for an advantage.  The Legend sing-jays:  nuff say dem ah dog but dem ah puss / no fear ambulance strap dem inna bush / and nuff say dem ah Ras but man ah ancient kush / Mih know say nuff say dog but dem ah puss….”  Beenie goes on to lyrically ride the riddim in a way that resembles a loaded weapon letting off rounds of bullets without a pause or glitch for 2.5 minutes straight, only stopping to reload ammunition.  K-A-B-O-O-M!

When a Legendary Sound Man (Black Scorpio) produces a riddim with proper construction (Lazy Body Reloaded), and it meets a Legendary performer (Beenie Man), the result is a wicked 45 called “Anyways” and a serious Sound killing Dubplate if you choose to have it cut that way!  You’re Welcome!

Download links for the 45 are below, and connect with Beenie on Twitter / Facebook @KingBeenieMan re getting the Dubplate.  Please note, you will have to pay for the Dubplate at the price set my Beenie and his management team!

How Young Hawk Got His Sound Clash Wings!

Canada Cup Clash Opens The 2015 Sound Clash Season

Photography / Videographer:  Father Matic from Illmatic Sound

Sound Clash season officially began in Toronto on Saturday September 19th, 2015 with the Canada Cup Clash.

Hosted by Michael Moore of Michael Moore Entertainment, this Clash saw 4 Sounds represent 4 countries for the coveted favor of the crowd.

Warrior Sound with Selecta Matthias played first representing Germany and played solid rounds.  Making it clear that his dubs were cut with creativity (salute for the Beres Hammond “What One Dub Can Do Dubplate”) and not cut like everyone else’s, the young yute from  the land of Heineken gave a solid overall performance, and was only eliminated from the Clash because of bias.  Please note, out of all the Sounds, and under the Sound Clash rules, Warrior Sound was most deserving to win.

Steppa Choice, playing 2 and representing Jamaica had the crowd excited from Dubplate 1 to Dubplate done.  Opening their round with Sanchez back to back:  “Amazing Grace” and “Praise Him,” the MC’s speech connected both chunes and had the crowd eating out of their hands.  By the time they finished their 15 minute round with Chronixx’s “Start a Fyah,” it was clear they meant business, and were ready for war.

King Attarney played for Canada and drew 3.  Despite technical difficulties, this sound if nothing else showed their fierce determination, and their tenacious quest for the coveted title of their home country.  Their Dubplate strength is the reason why they have a seat at an international competitors table.  Beginning their round with Tarrus Riley’s “Never Leave I,” it was clear that eliminating this Sound would be a challenge for the other 3 Sounds.

Fate is the reason why Young Hawk, representing the United States drew #4!  It was simply in the cards that the Hawk would FINALLY get his wings and fly.  Finally, because this is the Sounds first win on Canadian soil … totally unexpected.  I predicted that Young Hawk would lose this Clash based on past performances, but what has surprised me is how much he’s learned and applied to his performance style in the past 2.5 years.

His first round didn’t gel for me, but did make an impact on the knowledgeable Canadian audience.  What did stick for me were rounds 2, 3, and 4!  His performance was so on point, and distant from past performances, that the audience had no choice but to cheer for the young bird who was finally learning to fly right in front of out eyes – and fly he did.

Congrats to Young Hawk.  By no means is he ready to compete on the World Clash stage, but his Canada Cup Clash win is a good qualifier to let the world know that his training camp regiment is paying off.  Fly Young Hawk – and don’t forget Canada in your travels!

Most Played Artists:

1.       Tarrus Riley
2.      Lindo P (in attendance at the Clash)
3.      Taranchyla (artist and Selector from Poison Dart Sound)
4.      Chronixx
5.      Capleton
6.      Exco Levi

Near and dear to Busy’s heart is his foundation, the Busy 2020 Helping Hands Foundation.  The aim of the organization is to reach children and young people with the aim to tackle issues such as violence, poverty and lack of health care access.  Launched in April, 2015, the Foundation has worked with and donated much needed medical equipment to the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital in an effort to make medical access readily available for people in that area of Jamaica.

We Don't Like 'Gunman' But We'll Sing About Them!

Depending on your musical taste, you either love it when an old riddim is re-made, or you regret taking time to even listen to a minute of a riddim that has been remade, especially when the riddim is a classic, and one of historic significance.

The Gunman Riddim, made famous in 1980 by Michael Prophet who recorded the historic track “Gunman” with Henry ‘Junjo’ Lawes on the Volcano label, is one that in my opinion should not be tampered with, unless your name is Raggamuffin Entertainment aka Babbzy!

Yes friends, my Bajan colleague who knows music like Michael Jordan knows Basketball, has released this riddim featuring singers with voices respected by Angels.  Seriously!  Artists you may have never heard of take center stage and deliver music that will have you rocking and swaying, not to mention your listeners!

Devine Songz song “Under the Covers” is a hit with the ladies, Jah Powaz sing-jays the song “Watch” which is a warning to people unaware of how some are plotting to take what they have.  Mavriq’s “Abomination Town” questions how one can rise when they’re born as a curse – powerful lyrics, and rising Star Tabitha questions the need for “War.”  Each song cleverly includes the term ‘gunman’ in each song; K-A-B-O-O-M!  Each chune on the riddim is the cream of the crop.

Ready for your music player, here's the 2015 production of the Gunman Riddim produced by Raggamuffin Entertainment.

Ready for Another Round?!

Summertime is here, and the living is HOTTT and good, and one artist who’s celebrating the good life is Toronto’s own JLogix.  As a matter of fact life is so good for the artist, he’s asking for “Another Round!”

Produced by Real Links Productions (Fyah Fashion and Jeff De Master), the GTA Swing Riddim hears Logix open up in the recording booth about a different outlook on life – how about we celebrate what we have no matter how great or how small.  Take it a step further, Logix sing-jays “we have to give thanks / one bottle fih dih crosses dem / and one fih dih one dem weh nuh like we / ah yes / and one fih dih hypocrite blood sucker dem weh ah do tings fih spite we / ah bwoy / one fih dih enemy we fear we / one fih dih fren dem weh gear we / time fih buss a big bokkle fih dih one who love and dem cheer we….”

Oh Yes.  We are celebrating everything!

We’ve heard so much about badmind people and what badmind is doing that people have forgotten the many other reasons to celebrate, and Logix hands it to them on a platter.  So let me ask, are you going 1 round or 2?!  That’s how we do it in the GTA aka The 6 – we swing it!

Radio ready; mixtape ready; Sound System ready … It’s JLogix and the chune “Another Round.”  I’m about to meet up with the artist now; next rounds on me!

Jukeboxx Productions Responds to Busy Signal’s Claim

In response to the accusatory press release from ‘Turf Music’ dated Monday July 6, 2015, claiming lack of knowledge of Trinidad engagement; Juke Boxx Productions would like to respond with the following:

Hot Pepper Entertainment (Promoter) entered into a contractual agreement with Juke Boxx Bookings on April 9, 2013, to book several artistes, one of which was Busy Signal (Reanno Gordon), for a proposed show in Trinidad. Hot Pepper Entertainment subsequently sent incomplete deposits in incremental wire transfers totaling approximately USD $30,000.00 to secure the artistes’ performance at this engagement. Hot Pepper Entertainment was unable to honor their contractual obligation to remit the outstanding deposit amounts despite numerous extensions and the demonstration of leniency on the part the Juke Boxx team to assist the promoter.

After the separation of Busy Signal from Juke Boxx Productions, all documents relating to Gordon’s business affairs, and future contractual obligations were turned over to his new management, including the above mentioned deposit amount due to him of US $22,500 for them to proceed with the engagement, at their own discretion.

Hot Pepper Entertainment’s failure to pay the remaining deposit amounts required, for all the artistes by the due date constituted a breach of contract, as per excerpt of the signed agreement below:

4. If PURCHASER fails or refuses to comply with any of the material provisions contained in the Contract or this Rider, including but not limited to filing or refusing (A) to proceed with the presentation of the engagement which is the subject of the Contract (B) To make payment (s) as set forth in this Contract on or before the dates and times specified or otherwise defaults in performing any obligations under this agreement, the ARTISTE and Juke Boxx Productions shall be entitled to retain said deposits as liquidated damages

It is therefore rather strange, that Busy Signal and his new management team claim ignorance of this issue, when all details and amounts collected on their behalf were handed over to them. It is also our understanding that they chose to refund a portion of the deposit collected to the Promoter.

The Juke Boxx Management Team would like to caution, that invalidated accusations can be defamatory for which individual/s can be held liable through the courts as a consequence.

Busy Signal’s Arrest in Trinidad & Tobago Over Outstanding Contract with Jukeboxx Productions

Reggae and Dancehall Superstar Busy Signal was arrested in Trinidad & Tobago on Saturday July 4th, 2015 over an outstanding contract with his former management company, Jukeboxx Productions.
Busy Signal

Unaware that there was an outstanding financial issue, Busy Signal traveled to the twin republic of Trinidad & Tobago to perform at TAO (Together As One) at Queen’s Park in Port of Spain for which he was billed as the headlining artist.  Prior to arriving at the venue, the artist was arrested at his hotel, and appeared in court alongside attorney Fareed Ali.

The information presented in court made it clear that Jukeboxx Productions entered in to an agreement with Peppers Entertainment for Busy Signal to perform at the scheduled event.  The event was subsequently canceled so Busy Signal, real name Reanno Gordon, and his new management team, agreed to refund the promoter $15,000 USD, in addition to payment made when the show was initially cancelled.

Of the situation Galey Gordon, Busy’s Manager, said “The advance payment of $37,088 USD was not disclosed to us [Turf Music Entertainment] by former management who entered in to business affairs on Busy’s behalf.  We had no material knowledge whatsoever of this apparent infraction.  If we had, we would have acted to resolve the issue prior to coming to Trinidad.”

Turf Music Entertainment is currently requesting a copy of the original agreement between Jukeboxx Productions and Peppers Entertainment as well as transaction records between both parties regarding the event.

After reaching a mutual resolve, Busy Signal performed to an eager crowd at Queen’s Park, closing the show.  The artist is enjoying international success with his singles “What If” and “Text Message.”

Too Many Fans for Gage in Trinidad & Tobago – Police Called – Party Shut Down!

Summer Splash 2015 featuring Dancehall Star Gage was supposed to be the official kickoff to the summer season in for students in San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago but instead became pandemonium or fan-demounium resulting in the Police shutting down the event before it could begin.

Scheduled to perform at the Creative Arts Center on Circular Road in San Fernando on
Saturday June 20th, Gage was contracted by Fire House Promotions to perform for his audience of 500 students, but instead as many as 5,000 people showed up from all over the island.  “It was crazy” said Gage, “when we arrived there were so many fans screaming my name outside that we couldn’t get inside.  It was crazy.”

The Star, whose recent hit songs include “Kitty Kat,” “Put it Yasso,” and “Culu Culu” is known to have millions of fans around the world and across the Caribbean, with a particular concentration in Trinidad.  This performance is the 3rd time the artist has performed there for the year with each show selling out.

Overwhelmed by the chaos created by the star, San Fernando Police were called in to bring the excessive crowd under control.  Realizing there were too many fans present, the Police department erred on the side of caution and shut down the event before it could begin.  One patron, Dee Dee said “too many people showed up to see Gage and the thing got out of control.”  Not one to disappoint his fans, Gage took photos with fans and promised to return when the promoter rescheduled the show.

No one was injured but the ambulance was called for the promoter who passed out.

Gage returned to Jamaica on Monday June 22nd, 2015; he artist will perform at Reggae Sumfest on Dancehall Night, Thursday July 16th, 2015 in Montego Bay at Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex.

Is Reggae Dead or Dying?

So an argument (meaning a train of thought) is making its’ rounds that Reggae is dying or is dead.  This line of reasoning bothers me for so many reasons; I won’t bother or bore you with my complete line of thought but will summarize like this:  if Reggae is dying, why are there so many new bands entering the Reggae market every day … who are NOT from the Caribbean?

If Reggae is dying, why do hundreds of thousand even millions of people attend Reggae Festivals / concerts events every year?  If Reggae is dying, why do music video’s in the genre rack up millions of views – most recently the success of MAG!C’s song “Rude?”

If Reggae is dying why is Bob Marley still on the Rolling Stone top 10 list of greatest selling artists of all times (while alive and after he passed)?  Why do tourists from around the world flock to Jamaica to experience the culture (which is definitely a part of the music) and the Bob Marley Museum?

Anyone who says Reggae is dead or dying is trying to feed a machine that doesn’t exist.  Reggae is more alive than any other genre of music.

In comes the musical ting called Reggae Rock Riddim produced by Busy Signal and the team at Turf Music Entertainment!

Using overtones of Country with a sweet piano skank and subtle riddim guitar, Busy and team makes the riddim sing to the point that, as an on air personality, you will want this playing under your voice when you talk to the people.  That’s in addition to you playing all the chunes on the riddim which features:  Mink Jo, Christopher Martin, Jr. Daine, Kananga & Gottyo, Lutan Fyah, Mr. Diamond, RC and Romain Virgo!

Don’t sleep, hesitate, pause or even blink your eye with this riddim; and please, whatever you do, don’t say you didn’t get it!
