When it comes to the artistry of Tarrus Riley, the proof as they say, is in the pudding! His new album, Love Situation, debuted in the
#1 position on the iTunes charts, is Billboard certified, and has been
purchased by fans in every country around the world. Tarrus Riley and his team (Dean Fraser and Shane Brown) are amazing at what they do!
Listening to the album, there is one thing that is
consistent, and that is Tarrus performs every song. He doesn’t go into the recording booth and
sing, he performs, and one of my favorite performances is the chune “One Drop” remix! The team has taken an already great song, and
made it greater which is very hard to do.
The new arrangement; strong horns and funky Reggae bass line
as well as percussions that add sweet accents make this one of my favorite
songs from the album, not to mention the Dubwise at the end of the song. I’m highlighting one song, but believe me,
every chune on the album is a #BoomShell performance!
I spoke to Tarrus about his new album as well as his Black
History influences, and all I can say is magic!
